Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data — and the rights you have over it.

Please note: this document is a working draft prepared for the NEFRO platform. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified Egyptian lawyer before public launch, and the bracketed company details below must be completed.

1. Who we are

NEFRO ("we", "us", "our") produces and sells premium pet nutrition in Egypt. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. For any privacy question, contact privacy@nefropets.com.

2. What we collect

Account data — your name, mobile number, and email address.
Pet profile data — species, breed, age, weight, activity level and health notes you choose to enter.
Order data — items purchased, delivery address, order history, and payment status. We do not store card numbers; these are handled by our payment provider.
Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed.
Communications — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or the contact form.

3. Why we use it

To create and operate your account and process your orders (performance of a contract).
To deliver your order and keep you informed about it.
To generate feeding guidance and product recommendations for your pet.
To improve our products, website and service quality (legitimate interest).
To send marketing messages — only where you have consented, and you may withdraw at any time.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate: payment processing, delivery and logistics, messaging (SMS/WhatsApp/email), cloud hosting, and analytics. They may process data only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some providers host data outside Egypt. Where that happens we rely on providers offering recognised safeguards and contractual protections appropriate to the transfer.

6. Retention

Account and pet data are kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by Egyptian tax and commercial law. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020), you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy, and you may object to direct marketing at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@nefropets.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed credentials, access controls, audit logging and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to industry standards and will notify you and the competent authority of a qualifying breach without undue delay.

9. Children

Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
